The PECB ISO 37101 Lead Auditor training course enables you to perform a management system for sustainable development in communities (MSSDC) audit by applying widely recognized audit principles, procedures, and techniques. During this training course, you will acquire the knowledge and skills to plan and carry out internal and external audits in compliance with ISO 19011 and the certification process according to ISO/IEC 17021-1.

 

After completing the training course, you can sit for the exam, and if you pass, you can apply for a “PECB Certified ISO 37101 Lead Auditor” credential. By holding this credential, you demonstrate that you are capable and competent to audit organizations and communities that have based their management system for sustainable development on ISO 37101.

Prerequisites

Participants attending this training course are required to have a thorough understanding of the ISO 37101 requirements, sustainable development concepts and principles, a general understanding of the management system standard (MSS) audits, and knowledge of audit principles and techniques.

Day 1: Introduction to the management system for sustainable development in communities (MSSDC) and ISO 37101

Day 2: Audit principles, preparation, and launching of an audit

Day 3: On-site audit activities

Day 4: Closing the audit

Day 5: Certification exam

The “PECB Certified ISO 37101 Lead Auditor” exam complies with the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP) requirements. The exam covers the following competency domains:

Domain 1: Fundamental principles and concepts of a management system for sustainable development in communities (MSSDC)

Domain 2: Management system for sustainable development in communities (MSSDC)

Domain 3: Fundamental audit concepts and principles

Domain 4: Preparation of an ISO 37101 audit

Domain 5: Conducting an ISO 37101 audit

Domain 6: Closing an ISO 37101 audit

Domain 7: Managing an ISO 37101 audit program

In case candidates fail the exam, they can retake the exam within twelve months following the initial exam for free.

After successfully passing the exam, you can apply for the credentials shown on the table below. You will receive the certificate once you comply with all the requirements related to the selected credential.

Note: Candidates that possess the PECB Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor credentials are qualified for the respective PECB Master credential, given they have taken four additional Foundation exams which are related to this scheme. To be considered valid, the audit activities should follow best audit practices and include the following activities:

Managing an audit program

Drafting audit reports

Drafting nonconformity reports

Drafting audit working documents

Documented information review

On-site audit

Following up on nonconformities

Leading an audit team



  • Certification and examination fees are included in the price of the training course

  • Participants will be provided with the training material containing over 450 pages of explanatory information and practical examples.

  • An attestation of course completion worth 31 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits will be issued to participants who have attended the training course.
